So you bit the bullet and decided 2017 was the year to get your brows and life on fleek. Bravo! You've made it past your initial treatment, so now what?

Your new brows will go through various phases during the healing cycle. Your true brow color will reveal around 3-4 weeks after treatment. Your “perfecting” touch up is recommended between 4-8 weeks after the initial pass to correct any strokes, add more color, or simply seal the original strokes.

Initially your brows will appear slightly red, more intense, and perhaps darker than your liking. This is completely normal & will subside quickly within a few days. Once the healing is underway your brows will have a slight flaky appearance which may give you the impression that your brows have faded and completely peeled away! However, this is just superficial color & dry skin naturally exfoliating itself.

Your brows will appear their lightest between day 6-14. Then the brow color will start to reveal itself just in time for your perfecting session!

Here are a few tips & tricks to ensure timely healing, and better retention for your new brow strokes!

  • Do not let any hot water, soap, makeup or creams touch your eyebrows for the first 7 days after your microblading procedure. The first evening of your procedure, with clean hands, gently cleanse your brows with a gentle wash (baby shampoo works best) pat dry with a towel. Hereafter, apply your ointment once at night time if your skin is oily, (dry skin apply in the morning as well, and as needed to alleviate any itching.

  • Be sure to wash carefully around your eyes for the first week. While showering, keep your face away from the showerhead or opt for a bath instead.

*******Be sure to avoid the following during the first 2 weeks after your microblading prodecure.

  1. Picking, peeling, or scratching of the stroked area.

  2. Extreme sports

  3. Sweating profusely******

  4. Sun or salon tanning

  5. Jacuzzi’s or hot saunas

  6. Swimming

  7. Any laser or chemical treatments as well as any creams containing Retin-A, glycolic acid

  8. Excessive alcohol treatment, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.

  9. Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, or motorcycles.

  10. Makeup in the brow area.

Enjoy your flawless natural new brows!
